AMSPO (Parent Organization)
What is AMSPO?
AMSPO is made up of parents and guardians supporting teachers, staff, and students at AMS. AMSPO plans and coordinates events to create a fun and positive environment, including student celebrations (quarterly honor roll treats, conduct card party snacks), teacher and staff support (conference meals, staff treat days, School Employee Appreciation Week, staff birthdays) and school community activities (social nights, spirit wear, and sports buttons). AMSPO also coordinates volunteers as needed by AMS (Reality U).
AMSPO meetings are held once a month during the school year. Connect with us on Facebook to see upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.
Unlike many of our elementary school PTOs, AMSPO is not a 501(c)(3) organization. AMSPO does not actively fundraise or provide large financial allocations to AMS (AMS will conduct its own school fundraiser in the fall for larger school needs). AMSPO activities are funded by event donations from families, restaurant nights, social nights, spirit wear, and sports buttons.
Spirit wear
The online spirit wear shop will be open several times throughout the school year. Watch for information on the AMSPO Facebook page and in the weekly school email. Spirit wear sales are a fundraiser for AMSPO.
