I grew up in Wichita and graduated from Kapaun Mt. Carmel in 1987. I attended Wichita State University and graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education. In 1993 I joined the Peace Corps and lived in rural Costa Rica for two and a half years, where I learned Spanish. When I returned to the U.S. in 1995, I began teaching Spanish in high school and middle school. I’m currently working on my Master’s of Education in Integrated Curriculum.
