I graduated from Cimarron High School in 1996. I earned my bachelor’s degree at Bethany College in 2000 and completed my master’s degree in administration through Baker University in 2004.
My wonderful husband, Ryan, is self employed in sales. We were blessed with our first child, McCoy, in 2012. After I resigned from administration at ACMS and returned to the classroom at AMS, we discovered we were pregnant with our daughter, Molly. She was a sweet gift, arriving in the spring of 2017. She also surprised us, being born with a congenital heart defect. Molly was life-watched to Children’s Mercy Hospital in KC, where she endured her first heart surgery at 1 week old. I was fortunate to remain home and care for her the rest of that first year. I returned the second year, but was gone mid-November through December as we helped Molly through open heart surgery at 8 months old. I returned in January of 2018 to teach the remainder of the year. Molly is doing phenomenal, and this should be my first, complete year at AMS. McCoy will start Kindergarten at Cottonwood Elementary this year, and Molly will attend a daycare center for the first time. We are excited for this school year, being blessed with good health and new opportunies!
