Andover Public Schools Meal Charge Policy

The goal of Andover Public Schools breakfast and lunch program is to provide healthy meals to children during the school day.    In order to serve healthy, high-quality meals to all children, and remain in compliance with USDA and FNS*, we must make sure we are financially secure.  The parent/guardian plays a key role in this effort, and are responsible for purchases made by your child(ren) in our school cafeteria.   Email notification are sent each Thursday for each account when balance is +$40.00 and below.

Changes to the policy

  • All students when account balances fall to $.0.00 & below will not be allowed to purchase ala cartes, (extras, milk, snack milk and juice).

  • All Paid and Reduced Students when account balances fall to -$10.00 no charges will be allowed.  Students may pay cash for a meal or bring a meal from home.

Please contact Bonnie Scarth, 316-218-4603,, if you have questions.  If you think your child may qualify for free or reduced price school meals apply online at
